Disney's California Adventure Map
In 2000 construction was started converting Disneyland's 55 acre parking lot into a whole new theme park.
Five areas were created: Sunshine Plaza, Hollywood Pictures Backlot, The Golden State, A Bug's Land and Paradise Pier. Each area is meant to resemble various aspects of California, its culture and landmarks.
Sunshine Plaza becomes Beuna Vista Street, Hollywood Pictures Backlot becomes Hollywoodland, Cars Land is a whole new land, Paradise Pier is re-themed, The Golden State is expanded.

On February 8, 2001 Disney's California Adventure opened.

We have a 5 and half minute video showing the mobile-Animatronic that Disney has been testing.
This one was at Disney's California Adventure. The technology is interesting but what is most unique is toward the end of the video you see the Animatronic having technical difficulties. See if you can figure out at what point the technical problems begin.
