Here's how to get discounts to Disneyland and Disneyworld and their resorts

Did you know that the Walt Disney Co. offers special discounts to Disneyland and Walt Disney World for active-duty and retired military, as well as disabled veterans?

This "Armed Forces Salute" program was scheduled to end in September, but it's been renewed now until September 2012.

This includes significant discounts on multi-day theme park tickets and also on resort hotel rooms.

There's a limited number of tickets you can buy under the discount program.

*December 24, 2011-January 2, 2012
*February 17-19, 2012
*April 2-14, 2012
*July 4, 2012

Who is eligible? (From the MilitaryDisneyTips.com website)

Active or retired members of the U.S. military, including the National Guard, Reservists and the U.S. Coast Guard. Permanently Disabled Veterans are also eligible for this offer. These military personnel will have a military ID with a DAVPRM status. Spouses of eligible members are able to participate without the member being present. Not eligible: unaccompanied dependants (children), prior service members who did not retire, foreign military members, DoD civilians.
