Five rides in Disneyland Resort parks will be closed for at least part of March as the park prepares for spring-break crowds.

Four of the rides are set to re-open within the week after undergoing routine maintenance projects: Grizzly River Run in Disney California Adventure and the Mark Twain Riverboat, the Disneyland Monorail and the King Arthur Carrousel in Disneyland.

The Matterhorn Bobsleds ride continues to be closed for a major makeover. The entire mountain is covered in scaffolding. The ride will re-open June 15 after a five-month renovation, which will include the addition of new vehicles.

Last week, the Fantasmic! Show in Disneyland returned after a two-month hiatus. The show came back for a special showing at 1 a.m. Thursday as part of the 24-hour Leap Day party. The show is scheduled on weekends and holidays, mostly, during the slower months.

Most of a row of Main Street, U.S.A. restaurants remain closed. However, Refreshment Corner re-opened last Monday.

Disney traditionally schedules its major maintenance projects during the slower winter, off-season months after the holiday season. Tourism picks up in March and April during school spring breaks.
